There is nothing to spoil that has not already been spoiled by its promotion. Whiplash i didnt care for. The most memorable moments are those that J.K. simmons did all over the Tv world. But man What an A-Hole. Not J.K. simmon he is a pompous dickhead but the kid. He left his girl to work hard for a man that will never show him respect . Im sorry but if that is what real music is like, im glad i didnt pursue it.
Final verdict 4.5/10 i could watch this but i didnt care. I have no desire to see it again.
* Id like to note that there is another good scene, but it ends up being backhanded... i am referring to the scene where J.K. and the boy discuss J.K. firing. He claims that he did all that he did to make the boy great. But those actions are not what drives a person, it is what destroys them, everyone is motivated differently. Some need to be called on their faults, others need to have their faults acknowledged only by themselves. Since the movie doesn't address this, music directors will think that this is a way to motivate, through fear. Which is not the case. It ends up working for this boy, but not without unnecessary struggle and pain.

star wars
Oh Dear, here it is, this one will have hate or love no matter what I say. So lets get to it.
Disclaimer these movies are all watchable ( *cough* even phantom menace) but on some days i want to see one over the other so when I rank these films number may not be number 1 forever.
Lets start by ranking before discussing.
1.) Return of the Jedi
2.) Revenge of the Sith
3.) Empire Strikes Back
4.) Attack of the Clones
5.) A New Hope
6.) Phantom Menace
I can see it now... WHAT the original star wars is fifth! Now hang on, let me explain, ill work my way up.
Episode 1 Phantom Menace was such a let down. i was lucky enough not to be allowed to go to go and see it in 1999. When i did see it, WOW i was so lost, and bored, and annoyed! like this is start wars! what am i watching! The only goo part of this movie is darth maul, and the pod races. other than that it is practically 2 hours of crap. shame on you George Lucas,
The first time I saw A New Hope unfortunately it was when it was called episode 4. but that didn't take away its impact. Luke was a movie hero. WE ALL played start wars on the play ground. And if i got the choice i was yoda, but when he was taken I was luke. Luke showed us that everyone has a destiny for greatness, we just have to pursue it. He did luck into finding R2 and C-3PO. after that point he could have given up. When his aunt and uncle died, he moved on, when he was out numbered on the death star, he moved on. when he was the last pilot with a 2 meter hole to shoot at at he kept moving on. That is a powerful message to the audience that luke may be faced with impossible odds, but he will keep moving on, he will not quit. But why is this powerful message movie fifth of six?! well I dont desire to see this one as much. There are not quick passed fight scenes, there is a space fight but the climax is what is interesting and it doesn't have yoda.
My first in theater star wars movie of coarse is going to be in the middle. With the last movie released being garbage, the world was sceptical, but they did have great promotion. They had T'shirts, Stormtrooper( clone) talking helmets and lightsaber pens in cereal boxes. When i got my mace windu lightsaber i lost my mind. Attack of the clones as a whole is not all that good,. But it has redeeming qualities. Like the origins of the stormtroopers, the CGI of yoda, which looks awesome. Count dooku, anakin losing his arm, ( the explanation of why death was a robot basically), showing the parallels to like and anikin, and lastly, Mace freakin windu doing something played by Sam L jackson. I understand this is not a great film but there is so much nostalgia for me that it cant go lower than 4.
Now for the better half of the franchise. For the longest time Empire strikes back was the lowest of the original trilogy to me. I was the lowest because I was a child who didnt understand what was going on. But now have seen the films post teenage years i can understand that these scenes hit home to people who saw it in the theater. Like the " luke i am you father" thing. They blew peoples minds in the 80s. But for me in the 2000's who has seen it parodied a thousand and a half times. it meant nothing. but objectively lets look at why it is so important. It introduced the fact there are other jedi out there (yoda) it revealed who luke's father was, expanded on han and leia's relationship, and lando.
Revenge of the sith is the most recent start wars film and i feel that it ended on a good note. more specifically the last 30mins ended on a good note. The epic fight between obi wan and evil ani has its own meme, parodied numerous times and was awesome. The last 30mins is why we needed the prequels. Not for the lame origins of darth vader they were trying to explore but the modern day animation to show how epic a fight cold be between two jedi. We couldn't get the full effect in the 80s. and hopefully episode 7 will countie to show epic fights. Also general grivus who i think was only mentioned in the 2nd movie makes his awesome appearance with 4 arms and 4 lightsabers. Also it is the film that rounded off start wars......until it was sold to disney, signs for 3 new movies, numerous animated series, and merchandise. so basically we will come to hate star wars do to over exposure

Also we got our last image of a hot carrie fisher in slave leia. Day 38 the men in white

Men in black is what everyone movie goer wants. they want comedy, action, romance. I argue that there is a romance in men in black but it is unaddressed because there was a more interesting story to tell. There is clearly comedy with 1990's will smith and a good amount of action.
Who ever decided to cast this movie was a genius. They created the ultimate odd couple. We have a young, black, smartalec cop in will smith and we have an older, white, by the book, agent in tommy lee jones. At first you would think they would conflict the whole time but agent K ( tommy lee jones) was open to J ( will smith). the resistance came from a natural " learning the ropes" period.
There is always the debate of what movie put will smith on the map. most would say independence day, other Bad boys. i say it is Men in black becuz he showed that he can produce movies that children could still enjoy. The first time i saw men in black, I saw it one day before i saw men in black 2 in theaters. While it does have a handful of adult jokes such as an alien pregnancy, suicidal jumps, and "the size of the gun", children could enjoy this more than indencedace day or Bad boys.
Just to cover the franchise im going to rank them and how the overall franchise ranks.

MIB3 6/10
MIB 2 is the by far the best because it took the elements established in MIB and expanded on them. It also gave us a villain we could understand. MIB and MIB3 the villains are hardcore 1970s sci fi aliens the ones that look creepy but have no substance. MIB unfortunately just holds up as the starter it had great moments from an origins film but there was a lack of standing out. however! it does have some of the best comedic moment of the franchise. THE " we are the best of the best of the best sir!" i still use to this day. And not we must talk about MIB3 not a bad movie but after 10 years there were just money grabbing. there was no need for a third one and tommy lee jones is barely in the thing. Which upsets me becuz it was the chemistry of young and old that made K and J work. with the time travel aspect J was the old guy and josh brolin was the young which wasnt as good.
I do enjoy all the 3 films. as a whole the final verdict is 7/10 you ask " how is it possible to have a 7/10 when two movies were below that. ill tell you.... if some says " ive got MIB 1,2,3 i m watching them. They are enjoyable. some days they are 10s some days they are 5s but for today i say they are 7s.

Day 37 cast away to the airport

Why the joke about cast away? I respect this movie and yet I joke. to a point The Terminal is a lot like cast away. It has Tom Hanks, stuck in one location, and the theme of the "film is sticking it out" (one case is values, the other is survival). But all jokes aside both have their own unique story which make you wonder, why? could I? should I?
The Terminal follows the story of a man without a country. while traveling to new york his country has a revolution thus, his country ( or passport) does not exist. Of coarse instead of just returning him or letting him visit ( when the passport was valid) An airport official restricts him to the terminal. While at the terminal tom hanks has to find a way to make it work until he can leave. And idk if this is a "first world problem" but I almost had a tear form from two scenes of his survival. One when he was collecting carts to get quarters; just so he could eat a real burger. Two when he is translating for a man smuggling drugs into the country for his father. /Both of these event were difficult becuz the official stopped him collecting carts ( his own source of food) and wouldn't allow the drugs in becuz of a form not being filled out.
I can ignore the bad accent in the movie. so becuz of that is give the terminal a 8/10 for a final verdict. It fails to have a leading lady i want him to be with, together or not i didn't care. I loved tom hank's performance and character. im glad this is a stand alone film and hollywood left it alone. Positively the terminal is a thought provoking movie that will make you appreciate what you have and that there is always a good friend in the airport ( this reviewer does not condone the making all friend at the airport).
Random recommendations: Cast away. toy story 1,2,3. Big. catch me if you can. Nope sorry just every tom hanks films is good ( omit cloud atlas)

Bonus movie 3 not "tammy"
Today i saw Spy. It was really good. Not the best comedy ever but wow best one ive seen in theaters in awhile. Ill be generous and give it a 7/10 for now.
Similar to get smart a secret agent is put into the field well before they are ready this adpatation doesnt follow a series like get smart did so their story didnt have to force elemnts or easter eggs from the scoure material.
Comparing the two id say spy>get smart but I still need to see it again to be sure.
I loved jason Statham more than mellisa Mccarthy but who doesnt. Its fails to be suprising,but it is a comedy not an actual thriller. Go check out this movie before its a well deserved $20 at wal mart.

This is one of the original recommendations. Also an unknown film. Staring chris evans and other british stars This is a post apocalyptic society living on a train as a result of "fixing global warming" quickly.
*every movie gets 30mins before can label it as bad
Along with my 30min rule I am still hooked! but that is a BS problem. Honestly?! If you had real scientist they would know rapid changes in weather would destory the plaent for humans...regaurdless that is the only fault of the movie so far.
This movie follows class battle idea. I feel like if this movie was more popular this IMPORTANT message needs to be addressed. I mean do to class...they isolated a grouo of people where they can take their children at any point. Their world in the front train is unknown to the back and thats messed up.
Id like to say (in a good way) I loved the frozen arm scene! It terrible to love this guy losing his arm but it was done so well! And that is a real punishment for these people. Truely sends a message to the lower class. Heck I dont want to throw my shoe now after seeing that.
*sidenote can we all just take a moment and thank marvel for giving chirs evans the capt american role! Really made him a well known name versus the jock/idiot role. You know how BA he Is? He took a leap of faith much like indie in the last crusade and put a "loaded" gun to his head and fired it himself. Wow.
At 30min in im hooked and reall questioning why I havent heard of this movie.
Another question. And I hope this will be answered...what is in the protein bars? I saw like bugs. But he was discussed beyond all means. Maybe its something I dont understand.
Oh!!! Ninja gaurds it wouldnt be an epic fight without ninja gaurds! Thats sweet everyone pauses for the new year :)
There is a halorious and creepy elementary school scene which inthing you should all check out on youtube at the least.
Finally our hero arrives to the front of the train and reveals who willford is. Im not spoiling this becuz who it is,is perfect for the role
The finally is upsetting in regards to "I want more" fever but good stories cant be countined.

Final verdict: I agree with rotten tomatos 95% or my scale 9.5/10 almost a perfect movie. I highly recommend you all go and buy this movie. One of chris evans best. It only faults on the conclusion. I was hoping for a suprise at the end. But that doesnt hurt the film.

There are handful of minor celebs in this movie I dont know if that makes it good. But it doesn't hurt it ether. (Girl who married nick offerman, stifler's mom, donald glover)
5/10 not good, not bad. I liked how it related so well with the book, but very predictable and unoriginal. But I could finish it, so its better than heat.
I recommend watching with the kids you babysit. They will love it.

Hasta la vista baby! To the terminator franchise. Everyone has their favorite movie. Mine is rise of the machines. Most is T2 judgement day. And if someone says salvation they are lying. I have high hopes for the newest installment and unfortunately, do to trailers, this reboot trilogy will never happen.
The original story doesnt exist anymore. Kyle reese comes back in time to protect sarah conner from dying till she can bare john conner the salvation of the world. But do to skynets involvement johns father is someone else.
Fast forward to T2. Skynet attempts again to kill john but this time when he is a boy. But becuz of the events of the original now sarah connor is B.A.! And judgment days is decades closer.
Jump to rise of the machines. Judgement day was avoid/postponed do to T2. Now skynet sends yet another terminator back to kill those who will rally around john in the fight. And skynet was going to win if not for johns wife.
If you are keeping track the original timeline which doesnt exist at all anymore.
Salvation is garbage so dont watch that one. They go to the modern war and just confuse everyone.
I feel like i have to explain why i like rise of the machines over T2 and it was a toss up. mine comes from nostalgia. it was my first terminator and it just worked for. that and john connor the kid was a dick. so for now T2 is second but that could change.

I suggest you did what I did and go to target mow and but 2-4. What?! U bought 4? No. I bought a combo rise of the machines and salvation for $4.75 money well spent. Then $5 T2 1996 addition blue ray. I could find the original but its on netflix.

Final verdict 5/10
This is an initial response but I found this movie to be lack luster to the hype. And to be honest I dozed off at one point. There was no significant plot. And when one is established the conflict to the plot is resolved quickly.
Also lets address the title. It is a mad max movie. Yet he has less or matches thrones screen time. Also he maybe says 200 words the whole movie. As a stand alone movie called "fury road" it maybe was better. But as a 4th installment it was confusing.
I have not seen any mad maxes before this but reviewer and critics claimed anyone can enjoy this movie without knowledge, yet I was lost. So there goes that.
Highlights of the film are the actions. That I got! It was really cool and that is why it gets such a high verdict. Um half naked hotties. I approve. The girl from transformers. Hot! But im starting to see a trend..
I was very confused on the culture of this film. There is a silver mist they spray on their faces and it was never explained...was it to come back to life? Was it symbolic? What was the point?!
Why was everyone british or Australian? Like almost everyone had an accent. If the movie said "hey we are in Australia" id let it slide..
Also what about the blood boy? Hhmm why does he need to have blood in him? Are all humans deprived of blood? Idk movie...you didnt explain it for me...
Unfortunately im glad I saw this in the cheap theater. Cuz I felt ripped off. I have no desire to buy this movie nor watch other mad maxes. Im sorry but explos8 do not make a movie *cough* michael bay.

This movie doesnt need a descriptive review. It needs a warning. 8/10 movie but tread lightly. A sequel is on the way and I think it will BOMB in comparison.

Watch out the governator is back and he is running! Yeah, ik, anothering running movie( forest gump). he does other things too! Like walking... and jumping... trust me its alot better than the premise.
in a torn up future a man is accused of mass murder and placed on a reality tv show where he will be chased and run for his life. wait,,,, ive here of this..... death race? come on! is nothing original? sure this came out before the modern death race but really?!
so you know how we all LOOOVVEEE hunger games. well here is yet another hunger games but it is from the 80s. this thing was clearly stolen from for hunger games they used similar suits in catching fire. no seriously look at them....
Ha you know the hero has charisma when he can turn the crowd into thinking he is the one who si gonna get the next kill!
i did enjoying seeing richard dawson on the big screen...even though he did the same thing he always does.. and when he cursed! whoa! momma hide your kids!
Arny shows us that he is a one liner action star. even in this move he says "ill be back" like really dude? you have had almost 4 years to learn english, get a new line! regardless. the running man is an entertaining 80s movie that has not be given its do. i am not a fan of the film but as we can see, elements of it were stolen to create bigger and better franchises so it serves a purpose in cinema.
Final verdict: 4.5/10 a good movie that doesnt make an impact or with stand the test of time. alot of the practical effects are kinda of corny by today's standards. but you know what i still say watch it. no one show ever own it. but to watch it on a big screen is a lot of fun. hearing the roar of engines and weapons make you feel exhilarated

Stories within stories within stories the Grand budapest hotel deterred me with this idea. While it drew me in with the dialogue it annoyed me that I didnt know which story I was listening too.
So im expected to believe, and follow, that a indian looking boy lobby boy becomes a clearly white old man, who tells a story to middle aged british man in the 60s, who then wants to tell a camera? In the 1980s? where then a girl mourns his death in the modern day? Like really I was lost who to follow. But not on what events that were being presented to me.
Also Wes anderson sure loves himself some edward norton can you say depp-burton?
I was entertained by the funeral scene where one great dialogue by jeff goldblum then fun slapstick punching by every main character so far. All becuz of some painting.
Side note. Look at the lobby boys love interest. Am I the only one who thinks that scar looks like mexico?
So when gustav goes to jail he undoubtedly tries to escape. When he does it once again is comical. I am not a fan of wes anderson's directing style but the budapest did keep my attention.
The calling of every hotel and then the lobby boys taking over! Ha! Becuz it us that easy!
Willem freakin defoe can scare the crap out of anyone without doing anything. Even bill freakin murray sneaks his way into this movie. The hat trick! Owen Wilson
My overall.opinion of wes anderson has not been changed. But I do see a shred of light in the dark tunnel. He can make an entertaining movie! Just let someone else hold the camera....

You want a little plot right? So that one kid from percy jackson takes on a new role of moody average teenager boy. And he struggles with his vast knowledge of the literary arts and his goal of being unnoticed. One day he chooses to step outside of his shell and talk to a senior named patrick or "nothing" and his smoking hot step sister emma watson. He connects with the two and once again breaks his shell and dances like a dork at what I assume is homecoming?
Patrick I feel must be gay at this point of the film cuz I haven't finished yet but he just seems like it. We will see.
After homecoming? The gang takes charlie to a party where he trips ballz. Dude when you go to a party dont take brownies. But it does lighten him up so he can be real. Isnt that ultimately the question of high school? Will taking down our barrier reveal to the world who we really are? Will we be happy or sad from what we discover?. Charle, to me, feel good that he is accepted when he is loose and free of his own obstacles.

Final verdict: gotta say im disappointed by how long this was on my dvr. I should have deleted it along time ago. A solid 5.5/10 but nothing special. A noticeably unremarkable movie. It does some things well but doesnt hook you for the whole movie. I did practically a play by play of the movie and still was lost of what the point was I get he was messed up but come on the story implies that him breaking his "walflower" ness would make him happy not reveal his demons.
I recommend watching as a date movie. You may like it you may not but there will be alot to discuss between you two.

Before I start lets get one thing straight daredevil is not a bad movie. It is not a great movie ether. Also lets establish it is a "comic book movie" not a "superhero movie".
So everyone give this movie terrible reviews for its poor acting, musical presence, and lack of purpose. I agrue that some are true and others arent. Like musical presence. Evanescence is an awesome band and I love that they are in this movie so much. Also poor acting. Yeah there is some really corny acting and puns but that is do to the comic book nature of the story not only the acting. And last is the lack of purpose...yeah ill give you that one. His struggle is so broad that he never had a purpose beyond impressing a girl and kicking butt.
Daredevil is considered one of ben afflacks worst films to the point that no one wanted him to be batman. And I to was on that boat but not for this. But becuz he didnt seem like a good bruce wayne...we will see. Also can we all remeber that gigli came out this year? Whatever..
Sidenote. Um why is he daredevil and not batman? He sees with sonar...he is only out at night... and he well here is a video

Soo I could go into the plot but im not gonna. I say watch it regaurdless. It will fill in some blanks from the daredevil netflix serie. Which btw I say you all need to watch before season 2 comes out #punisher!
What we are reall upset about daredevil is it was the nail in the coffin for comic book movies and started the attempts to get back to super hero movies. Which in my opinion were revived with ironman/dark knight.
So the main villian is kingpin and bullseye which michael.clarke ducan did great and collin farrel made a joke off. Honestly how hard is it to play a guy who is nuts? Like really....
Final verdict: 6/10 I like it and I think it gets a bad rep. For a character thag audiences arent ready for it did well enough in 2003. Also this did win awards so maybe it wasnt recieved well after its release. I pray that this isnt the fate of paul rudds ant-man but it may happen becuz it is a hard to relate character. Only time will tell....

Summer movie challenge day 27- prison break 2

This is another movie thay wasnt we recieved or memorable. But I still like it. Before this review I have seen this movie 3x 1 rental. 2 via TV. I recently bought this movie for 7.50 to do the review. And honestly I would have paid more.
It is a classic escape movie. Think of it as a less serious prison break. We have the great slyvestor stallone. And the governator (ArnoldSchwarzenegger). Now I think this was one of the first movies arny had after being governor and so far he hasnt had a hit. But I like it. What do yoy exscept with 2 legends if action in their 60-70s.
Im not gonna give the plot but search the opening scene and I guarantee you will want to watch more.
Final verdict 7.5/10 I dont recommend buying becuz it had a mystery aspect and escape. So once you know something you dont enjoy as much. I personally own it. And will lend. Its a great movie so watch it.

3 movies! 3! Come on guys stop guving churs tucker a name with these. He doesnt have depth! Whatever. Im reviewing rush hour 123.

Rush hour the title is all based on a pun from the first movie. At that it seemed forced. What they should have called it was "blasian" or "wah urya yeah! What is it good for?" But it would have never been as exciting or recieved well with those titles.
A mixture or suttle rascism and buddy cops leads to an iconic duo of lee and carter (jackie chan, chris tucker, respectively). And quotes "dont you ever touch a black mans radio."
Objectively, this movie should have never been made or had sequals. But it was the performances of tucker and chan that made this a unique and stand out franchise.
Hopefully they will never make another movie becuz they really forced the conflict for the last two. That and I want chris tucker to find some depth in his acting.
Over all these are movies you watch for fun. Not to get pumped, not to be sad, not to be aroused(some hot chicks). But for fun.

Wow Training day sends you a message about corrupt cops. And are they really corrupt? Denzel and ethan hawke make you question what is need to be done to truly protect and serve the community from drugs.
Hawke plays a "by the book" rookie cop who teams with denzel, a hardcore doesnt give a F%/K undercover cop. At first denzel appears to just be a rough teacher but he opens the eyes of hawke to what the street really is. A place a constant struggle both by those who take from and put drugs in the streets.
The whole movie you question if denzel is actually a cop at all or a psycho who stole some guns and police gear. I mean he literally steals $60 for a bum and some other amount from this really scummy looking woman.
Honestly I recorded this movie and it cut out for a while so I may have missed some details.
Before I even finish the movie im giving it above a 5/10 becuz im hooked I want to keep watching and see how things progress.
Another scene. Wow.. early in the movir denzel vists a friend who at that point in the movie didnt seem to have a purpose. But later he returns with his crew of corrupt officers to take 4mill from his friend and once again denzel tests hawke to shoot his friend. When he, a good cop, refuses, denzel shoots his friend and tuants hawke into being the scapegoat. Just wow. He planned it all. He got hawke on drugs and tested his limits so when he wanted to steal 4mill, hawke would take the fallm now that is planning.
My major issue is what put hawke over the edge. It wasnt forcing him to do drugs. It wasnt roughing up bums. Heck it wasnt even killing his friend. It was leaving him at a sketchy party. Seriously?! Where is the line for this guy?
Also um a naked eva mendes? This should have made headline news! Like shes not even partial. Its full on! And was it needed for the story? Yes! Nudity needs a purpose in film thats at least the philosophy of anne Hathaway. For this she was nude cuz they were man and wife??? In bed getting read to finish the day. It makes sense.
The final act of the movie and day is hawke v. Denzel. And what happen? Well ull just have to watch ;)
Final verdict: 7.5/10 it was an excellent movie with suppurb acting by denzel however it lacks to be rewatchable. If I every wanted to see it again it would be to watch denzel's preformance again.

Day 24 - ironman 0.5
have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Well for one young boy this dream came true. With an extra terrestrial iron man suit. One young boy saves his planet all before bed time. With the 1997 classic star kid.
If you loved iron man you will love this lighthearted 90s adaptation of super suits. A young boy finds a super suit in a junk yard which assistd him in defeating an invading alien race.
But of coarse we have to see a kid be a kid he takes his revenge on his bully. And teaches the alien what it means to be a human. (Like jokes) also he has to get the 10year old girl.
Dont forget the subplot of an older sister who neglects to watch her brother for her boyfriend.
Oh!! Your wondering does it have those 90s special effects? Actually no. For a scifi movie there are few speical effects morr practical ones. Also the villains costume is b.a. it would have been awesome if they used thay suit for another race in a super hero movie. Oh well.
Bare in mind this was thr 90s...so There are alot of modern clichés( boyfriend ruining babysitter, beat up your bully, dorking 10 year old, etc) in this movie thats why rotten tomatos doesnt give it a good review.
Im being openminded. For a good family movie id give the final verdict of 6.5/10. It screams 90s but has a good story to tell and will encourage kid to be proud of who they are. It is unlikely you will own this movie or find it. But if you do I say watch.

So we all have one couple in mind that is "the perfect couple." Whether they are real or fictional. We hvlave this idea of what a perfect couple should be.
They should have fun together. Be fun to be around with other people. And show their love for each other. Well sometimes you get 2 out of 3 and even wrose 1 of 3. The 1 of 3 get divorced. The 2 of 3 could get divored.
Now im not saying that couple are required to be these 3 things but they do need to feel themselves amd when they are around others that they are happy.
Why am I giving this lecture on relationships when ive never been in one? Well to understand why the events of gone girl. Could happen we have to know why people get divorced.
Oh and the fact that scum bags be scumbags. That is important too. And to take the words of phillp defranco. (Bitches!).

Annnnnny waysm ben comes back to his house where he finds ....nothing. no one is there but he does find a torn up house. At this point the story goes into a frantic search for her and what she may do.
There is one detail I left out. every anniversary she sets her husband on a quest for his anniversary gift. This year it was something made of wood.
So for the first 1.5hr he is seaeching for clues to his anniversary and her daily actions. When he finds the last clue he is puzzled....
Here we cut to the wife who has not died and has not been kidnapped but instead has run. But has framed her husband becuz he cheated on her.

Who frames their husband and possible put him to death just becuz he cheated. Get a divorce and make him poor. But whatever. Skipping to the end she meets with her ex bpyfriend played by the great .n.p.h of neil patrick harris. And frames him as her raper and kidnapper. When she returns to ben the first words from his mouth are "you fucking bitch." Now these two scumbags are faking a happy marriage becuz they are famous. And arr havjng a baby. I didnt catch if it was bens but he feels the need to be stuck with her becuz of the kid. The sister wants him to leave. But they keep up the charade.
Throughout this movie I didnt know who to rute for. The cheating husband or the sinical wife. So I ruted for the cat becuz that thing did nothing wrong!
Final veridict: 8/10. I liked it. And am going to rewatch it to see what I missed. The conclusion wasnt to good for me but I was distracted for the last part of the movie...

Heat. Not the heat. The heat is good, Heat bored me. I watch an hour was super confused or bored idk which. Seriously with val kilmer. Al pacino. And robert deniro. It should be great. But my word I did....not....care.
All I know is that there is a robbery. A cop/detective. And a "rapist?" I didnt finish to see if he did. He was a serial killer for sure.
There is a rule that 30min into a movie you can determine if it is worth watching. I was feeling generous and watch an hour of a 3hr movie. And ill never get that hour back.
I have nothing to say good or bad cuz there was nothing significant.
Others will say its awesome. Like rotten tomatoes says like 80%? But its from 1995 and they probably finished.
So my final verdict is 2/10 for loving celebs you can watch it. For getting pumped and excired from a crime thriller dont watch this.

We all like mean girls, but that is not this review. It is basically the same story but for another generation. We are about to watch the d.u.f.f.
We follow mae witman in her high school years. Which btw she is 27! Playing 18. Gezz girl needs to age! Well as well all know there is always an unpopular person in school. In this case they are called a d.u.f.f. or a (designated ugly fat friends.).
This person does not need to be ugly or fat but they need to be lesser than the hot popular friend. Which I think is unlikely. Sure some hot cliques have less hot people but not to this extent the movie is suggesting.
So mae. Learns of this term and does not like how her far hotter friends have done this to her. So she goes on a mission to not become the duff with the assistance of a dumb jock QB. Played by robbie amell.
Since this is 2015 we dont get the 1980s reveal of the hot girl but instead the montage of her trying on outfits hits the web crushing her dreams. There is a boy she falls for if the movie (not the QB) and after the video of her went viral he and mae go on a date.
The QB had some good advice about how to make a first date work for you. Sit close. Make sure you read signs of affection. Etc. Well mae had this plan to go to dave and busters with him, the boy 86s her and said nope we wilp stay in for some home made sushi. Mae attempts to make his home work for her and ends up learning that she was being duffed once more. Of coarse she was crushed...
She mopes around and they finds confidence in herself. Honestly I dont want to say anymore. Just watch it.
Final verdict: 5.5/10 does this mean its a bad movie? No! It was good but ut has been done! And will not stand the test of time. So if your feeling in a romantic mood and want a good date movie watch the d.u.f.f.

You know how adam sandler is just declining declining declining. Welllllll he still is. The Cobbler. I had high hopes for, but I ended up just peaking in on it. I was never hooked. So this review maybe be flawed but that's the movie fault. Not mine.
Final verdict 4/10 there was 3 celebs adam sandler, dustin hoffman, and steve buscemi. The story was uninteresting and the purpose and lore of the story was never explained fully.
The story follows a sad cobbler who discovers that he has a machine that allows him to become anyone who;s shoes he wears. ( i knoq, i know, but it seemed cool)
I thought that the story was going to uncover the human condition, instead it goes on one mans journey to get revenge on those who hurt his street and costumers. Sounds good, but I was bored.
There is one good part and its the ending. There is a surprise twist. And if you want it ruined watch the last half hour. Im not gonna waste your time.
so to be fair i like adams attempt to do serious acting instead of fart jokes but he just couldnt avoid taking a good plot and making it a joke. also another spoiler of the ending. the ending suggests a sequel which im thinking, no. dont. ever.

Alright gang I know it has been awhile but lets talk oscar. As you may know I am not a fan of oscar movies. They "insist" upon themselves when they only get recognized 1 month of the year. This oscar movie did just that, it was only know for 1 month. In fact when I state the name I bet you will go look it up becuz you didn't know it was up for an oscar. Nightcrawler.
So first off this movie im doing the final verdict now cuz there isnt much story to tell. This movie is a wonderful representation of what a psychologically insane but functionality sound person does.
Final verdict. 6/10. There wasn't much Rewatchability to this movie. It was a good movie but I dont think I need to see it again or own it. I do suggest you catch it on netflix on a weekend.
This movie follows jake gyllenhaal (im not looking it up) a sleazy man who loves to be in control. One night after a failed attempt at selling stolen metals. He sees a car accident. While at the seen a few men were recording the wreckage to sell to the news. This intrigued jake cuz it was the mayhem he desired but with his control.
He tried to get into the biz which wasnt to hard all he need was a police scanner and a camera. Which in a funny scene he sells a bike claiming to have won the tour de mexico for $2000 and settles for 800. It was a P.o.s. bike.
Anyways....he enlisted a man to be his side kick. He shoots so videos... like I said not much story... one night he sees a murder before the cops do and gets the exclusive. While seeing this, he withholds info so he could catch the murders on film again. Well not gonna spoil it but that's the highlight of the movie.

Name the most hated movie by nerds. Its not john carter. Its not daredevil(I like it) but in fact it is green lanturn.
Full disclosure I own this movie cuz I didnt hate it. I also didnt love it. But I accepted it for what it was and could be for the time.
Why was it hated so much? Well first they picked the wrong green lanturn. The right one is john stewert. No not the funny man. But the black army dude green lanturn. That would have been the mocie people want to see. But itlnstead they casted a wisecracker Ryan Reynolds as hal jordan and expected it to be good. Come on guys ryan reynolds is deadpool and nothing else. But alas it is what it is.
Ohhhh that animation. Like they wanted ut to look fake. In the next year we had the avengers which is basically all CGI and green screens (yes, there is a slight differnce). For a movie that is all about the outter rim of the universe they didnt want to use excellent costumes and make up. Which btw gaurdians of the galaxy did in 2014 and job well done.
Maybe its just DC. They cant make a good movie. They are currently taking the marvel model of making alot of single hero movies and adding them into one justice legaue event. It will likely crash and burn. They are banking it on the man of steel superman. Which yeah he is okay but ehhh. Different review. Batman v superman might be good but regaurdless not as good as it could be. Lucky us a new green lanturn will be in those movies. Hopefully jon stewert.
Plot: Well there is not much of a plot. I hal jordan becomes the green lanturn. He goes through basic training. They make rhe villain really unlikely and pointless and unmeromable. Seriously I juat watched it and idk his name. Was it paralaxative? Or something. What every he wins who cares.
The great thing about this movie was the trailer. It really made you want to watch it.
Also the other good thing was blake lively omg so hot! They get married after thjs movie I think. So you know one good thing came from it.
Last good thing and this make you pumped. The oath "in brightest day, in darkest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evils might, beware my power....green lanturns LIGHT!
Final verdict: I recognize its a bad movie so 4.5/10 but its watchable to me so I give it a 5.5/10. I dont recommend you buy it but at least watch a highlight reel on youtube or the trailer. Itbhas a good trailer.

You know a handful of these reviews are well known movies. I know what you want you want an unknown movie that you want ro try out. Well luckly disney is running their original movies so I am going to review hatching pete.
Have you ever been that kid who was an unknown? I know I am. And so was pete.(jason doley) he has real athletic ability but he didnt ever go out there.
The premise is that as a favor to get hjs best friends sister to gonout with him, pete will becoming the "chicken" mascot to a terrible basketball team. This was perfect for pete becuz he could be popular without being known. Or laughed at. Of coarse being a disney movie it is good for one person and bad for another. Pete makes his friend popular cuz everyone thinks he is in the suit. But of coarse pete want that glory. Luckly he gains enough confidence to make himslef known without the suit.
Final verdict 6/10 its pretty good but it is a common story so I wouldnt recommend it. However I do recommend these:

Ok here is your hint. Its not how to train your dog. Its not kung fu dragon. And its not ice age. What is it? How to train your dragon.
So how do you train your dragon? I dont know. I do know that dragons hate eels, love belly rubs and some have six shots. Those arent important details.
In this story we follow the tail( ha pun ull gey it) of hiccup the only child of stoick the village leader. Now stoick is a great dragon slayer and hiccup is wel not. He is a small boy but a genius. One day to prove to his father he could slay a dragon he launchs a device to capture dragons and he successed. He his a nightfury out of the sky into the woods. While trying to slay the nightfury he sees that he was hurt and his tail was broken. Since the nightfurt couldnt fly he was no harm to hiccup. Hiccup comes back the next day with a prosthetic to assist him with flight. It works! But it needs a pilot. So the dragon doesnt get very far. While assisting the dragon hiccup learns that he is a kind creature lpoking out for its needs. When interacting with him hiccup learns "how to train his dragon ;)" by know these tricks he was able to fool the village into thinking he was a dragon master.

This movie has a really good soundtrack some of the songs keep you calm and other get you excited to fly! Oh and the animation! Wow sometimes you forget you are watching a cartoon.
Final verdicit: I really liked this movie. Dream wroks keeps knocking them out. And they are awesome! I give this a 9/10. I recommend watch and buying this and its sequal. And watch put a third one is on the way ;)

Summer movie challenge bonus
(This is jurassic world) dont read if you dont want to be spoiled
Suprsingly jurassuc world was an actually sequel. I thought its goal was to revive the jurassuc park fanchise through redoing the original. While some of those points are true. It is a stand alone story that countines the story from where jurassic park 3 left off. But not crappy.
Owen (chris pratt) is are start. He trains the main villians of the series (the raptors) and shows the humans and dinos can live together. If there is respect.
Also side note there are alot of ridiculous ads in the movie and one scene where someone runs alot.....in heels so you know ignore that.
once again... alas! something goes wrong!
But ill get to thay later.
So to start off the movie. Jurassic park has been rebuilt but this time better. There is a zone for dinos and a zone for named dinos. Cool. But guess what? Dinos are not enough. They have to make it more entertaining. So they create a new dino called the indominus rex. Which btw looks pretty cool.
This monster has been created with so many animals its basically a Frankensteins monster. It can camouflage, change body temp, and rapidly grow from brith.
So not knowing the components of the monster the trainers thing it escaped and when they learn it didnt, it did. The park staff wasnt prepared for an escape of this creature so it was impossible to stop.
Im done there. No need to spoil more.
Final verdict: my initial reaction is that its a 8/10 but idk if it will remain that high. It had excellent effects but once agajn the story was simple and explained in the trailer. So I say go see it. Its is the second best of the franchise.

We all love owen wilson but did you know he has a brother? He does! And he made one funny movie with kill of the hills mike judge
Its idiocracy a story about how the dumbest of us all (like me) will live to ruin the world. As it is shown in the opening. The more intelligent you are, the less likely you are to reproduce. Becuz of this the idiots out number the intellectual types. Even though this is a comedy it speaks a true messege.
The story follows joe the mpst average man on the planet in 2005. He gets volunteered to be apart of a solider preservation program. Along side a prostitute they are frozen but due to unfortunate events they get frozen for 500 years.
Joe awakes to find that the world is far more stupider than he left it. He sets out to have a mission to travel back in time to correct these wrongs. However idiots will be idiots and create set backs along the way.
Once again this is a comedy so there is not alot of sub plots. To ruin the ending.... he saves the worlds crop problem with basic agricultural knowlegde.
Rating: 7.5/10 its a good movie with alot of Rewatchablity. However I douvt you want to own it unless you pair it wuth another movie called lets go to prison that movie gives the same feel as this one but has more of a plot.

The pursuit of happy happiness
Wow. Just wow. This wpuld be my favorite movie if not for the sadness. Will smiths performance makes you want to go into the screem and hug him.
That man did so much for his child all to pursue a dream. A dream which was nearly impossible. After watching this movie this man should have been afforded a lot more. Luckly it works out for him.
If any other person was in this situation, living pay check to pay check, ride to ride, day to day, they would have never endured. But chris, will smiths character, had a great mind and a strong will. And it is all thanks to a rubix cube.
Ohhh the tear jerkers! When he is fighting for a spot.at the shelter. When he cries in the bathroom. When he gets the job. Wow. No matter who you are, you love this guy.
Final verdict : this movie gets a 8.5 /10 I highly recommend watching it on a date. Youll enhoy it and they will want to become him with you.

Summer movie challenge day 13

We are gonna get a good movie today! Im am going to review patch adams.
A underated movie. Robin williams plays a suicidal man named. Patch. The start of the movie is patch in a mental hospital (self admitted) and he obverses how the doctors treat their patients. Not well. So he thinks to himself "what can I do ?" So he enrolls in med school
While in med school he make the typical side kick friend. And with any friend comes an enemy. This enemy is none other than Phillp Seymore Hoffman. Hoffman plays your know it all student who stresses over everything. Of coarse a slacker like patch is his enemy. In addition to friends/enemies, there is a love interest who for the life of me everytime looks like julia roberts.
While in med school patch breaks all the tradtions and rules.
Why? Cuz F the medical Police thats why.
So patch jumps a few steps and interacts with patients which is a 3rd year students level.
Important side note. This is a real life story and the scene when patch cuts off a rubber ball and puts it on his nose became a campaign. Or Red Nose Day. It is a message patch believed in. Making people laugh is more important than fixing a patient.
You gotta trust me on this one the rest of the story is good. But if I talk about it it ruins the suprise so ill say their is a trial, a hospital and death.
Final verdict:
9/10 a reall good movie. I watch it almost every year. Youll laugh. Youll cry and even be suprised! Since it is so underrated its always cheap to buy which I recommend you do. One of williams best roles.
Unfortunately this movie had to great actors commit suicide in their life. Hoffman, williams, this movie has an important message about life. Please listen to it. Even when things get rough suicide is not the answer.

Today we review the judge
Wow this movie takes all the cliches of lawyers and lawyer movies and just shoves it into one film. While with movie was not bad, there wasn't a hook. Robert downy Jr. was once again great, but he was himself. I dont know after a few movies with the stuck up know it all, you cant say great acting.
But i cant deny that his performance still moved me. opposite robert duvall these two were clearly grumpy old men,..
There is the classic " stuck in my home town" scenes, lost loves, grumpy dad, to many cliches to count. I did like seeing dax shepard in the film, but he was a bumbling idiot.
I guess you want a quick summary:
hot shot lawyer comes back to town to bury his mother he loves, however the father he hate is making life hell. Unfortunately the father "commits" a hit and run and is sent to trial. He is in a small town so if he did it, he is doomed, if he didnt, then he is still doomed but only his reputation.
Hm. idk what to say, it wasnt good but wasnt bad, I think im going to cut this one short because of my mixed feelings, I may come back to this one some day but for now...
Final verdict: 5*/10 subject to change.

Summer movie challenge day 11

Lets do another classic. Im thinking the greatest fighter ever. (Well non-cartoon). He took down a russian gaint. He has an iconic theme song. He lives in Philadelphia. Im talkin about Rocky.
I should just review the first movie but that movie is just the start of a saga. What im going to do is guve snippets of each movie and tell you which movies to watch and which to skip.
Lets start at number 5. Or Rocky V. Why start there? Cuz it crap. Garbage. A waste of your time. The only good part is it countines the night of rocky IV. After that. Shut off the movie. Why was it so bad? Well the creater slyvestor stallone even said that it was made just so he could make it. He hated the film and hated how he had rocky as a loser at the end of the film. But wuth the failure of rocky 5 the studio didnt want to give him a redemption film.
Now lets go to rocky 6 or rocky balloba. This film came about almost 2 decades after rocky 5 and u can tell. Slys not lookin to good. But uk im still scared of him. The 70 year old man....
In this film it has been decade sense rocky returned to philly and things are going pretty good, not great. His wife has died from cancer, he lives alone with his dog, and his son is some hotshot. But he has his own restaurant, he is a town hero, and can be friends with just about anyone.
I guess there was this popular thing on espn where they would pin modern day fighters to living/nonliving legends (in their prime) of the sport to see who would win? Well they pin rocky to an modern undefeated fighter (who has never fought anyone)( similar to flyod Mayweather) and claims rocky wins. This got alot of attention becuz the fighter said no, I can win. And rocky is still alive, so rocky got alot of attention as well. Remember how rocky only has a few things in his life? Well fighting was one thing he could get back that he lost.
(Side note) there is a very powerful speech in the fighting commitee scene and thats a message we should all believe in. " it not about how hard u can hit, its about how hard u can get hit and keep fighting back!"
This is the only movie with two endings. One where he loses and one where he wins. Im not going to say which they used but both are satisfing.
Okay how about rocky 3? In rocky 3 he is the champ. Livung large and in charge. He does this to the point he doesnt know what a real fight is anymore. He has lost his roots. First he fights MR. T and loses. Then he wait wait did I just say mr. T? First he fights a wrestler named hulk hogan and shows that he is a monster! It took rocky, the crew, and some security , to take this guy down. Theeeen he lost to mr.t after the loss he teams up with good old apollo creed to show that he can get back to the way he was. There is some monatages and eye of the tiger then he fights again in the rematch of the century....like theu dont say that all the time. Rocky wins and Ig learns nothing??? Eh idk not the best one.
Now to the best one!
Rocky IV! Oh man I cant even o this film. It should have just stopped here. Wow. So this was released In the 1980s at the height of the U.S.S.R and U.S.A tensions and they pin americas golden boy up with a russian monster.
To start off the russian came to the U.S.A for a exhibition match against then retired apollo creed. But he had a famous I think 2000psi punch. Which for those of u who arent nerds its basically death. Oh btw apollo dies! He taunted the russian to the point that he didnt care anymore so he killed him. Of coarse rocky wasnt going to take this so he wanted his match, but he had to do it in russia.
So uk rocky gets alot of songs in this one. Passionate driving. Training. The whole nine yards. But understand in the 80s it wasnt corny it was B.A. and he was fighting for america so buzz off! So they get to the fight and rock is ready thw russia gets a few punches in but then sees that rocky is made of iron he is mot going down! They go almost all round rock and ivan drago (the russian) are almost dead. They start and rocky take down the russian no ifs ands or but rocky is the champ. Im not giving it justice becuz of how short it is. The shortest of all.
Lastly rocky and rocky II these go back to back. We are introduced to rocky an average joe fighter. But he has a heart. The actual events that lead to the fight are better seen than descibed. But he does his famous training and gets to the fight. The fight is close the whole time. They go all rounds and unfortunately the Italian stallion lost. But income rocky 2. He is famous! And his whole life is changed. Becuz of how the fight appeared the medua made it look like it was staged so they wanted a rematch. They are set for a rematch and rocky is better than ever. But apollo is slacking a bit. They fight and rocky does the Impossible K.O.s apollo creed!
Now that I got 6! Movie out of the way lets jump to recommendations and stuff.

Im waiting for a preview but it looks promising. Its about apollo creeds grandson becoming a fighter.
Final verdict: as a whole its a 9/10 individually its all over the place. Im not one for sports movies but this one is great. It gets you psyched and has a great sound track for running. I suggest you buy all but rocky 5.

Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I'm an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day, I'll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. I am the flash!
Wow. Powerful.
So lets get this out of the way. We will not recognize the 1990s version as existing. The 2014 version is eons better! Newbie actor grant guston plays the most famous flash barry allen. And to be honest I love his portrayal. He is the right combo skinny, tall, and quick witted.
Supporting cast: So this is subject to change as it is a TV show, but most notable is Disney's danielle panibaker and tom cavanah. As harrison wells and catliyn snow, respectively. Then a bunch of other no name who play cisco remoan, iris west, eddie thone, and joe west.
What I like about this show is how it took B list talent/newbies and made a successful show right along side arrow and proceeding smallville. Will this show last? I hope so. #6seasonsandamovie

I like this flash becuz it involves one of the best villians, the reverse flash, and time travel. Also did I mention that opening? Just awesome! Another cool thing is the animation. On a low season 1 budget theh were able to make low quality CGI of super speed with lightning and make it look amazing! You feel like the flash while watching! And some times your run Into a wall thinking you can phase through it. (Not saying I did that ;) )
Also do we understand how broke this version of the flash is? He has rapid healing, superspeed, time travel, cyclone creation, and many others. Also lets note how interesting it is that all of his powers we learned by the flashs main villian, but that guys a paradox anyways. Id like to finish this last note of spoilers with this...
You have to watch the arrow some times to get whats going on. While not necessary, it helps understand the relationship between barry and oliver as well as future characters like the atom. My personal opinion is oliver hate barry but he may hate him like a little brother. Hate out of love.
Im really excited for season 2. We can confirm many things, which if ud liked spoiled just ask. (Cough) time travel/multiverse.

What id like to see more of is the smart alec flash. Like from the cartoons. That flash is funny this one is more moody, which is understandable for a season one. I also would like to see multiple suits. Even superman got a new suit on smallville (yeah yeah clark kent).
Final verdict
9.5/10 this was a poor review of the flash but trust me its a good show. Idk if it will hit netflix soon but I do know some epsiodes are on hulu and CW is showing all the episodes over the summer, they are currently on epsiode 3.
So when season 1 releases I will be buying the flash and adding it to my collection (unless its 30$)

It has accord to me that these have been the most family friendly reviews. Aside from maybe back to the future or jurassic park. So today we will venture down to kiddyville and review kung fu panda.
For starters kung fu panda was taking a big risk. As well all know (cough) expendables. Having to mantly stars in one films is just asking for problems. This movie has a good mix of B-list and A-list all who have done none to some voice acting. We have Jack Black (previous voices shark tale), Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogan (previous B.o.B monsters vs. Aliens), lucy lu, ( previous futurama), Davis Cross, and of coarse Jackie Chan.
I think this fault didnt apply becuz they are voicing roles this time.
What it did well:
ANIMATION! Wow! For a 2008 movie it has alot of attention to detail. You can actually see the fur on Po. Not to mention the noodles. Like idc about noodles but they dont look like ramen. They look like legit udon noodles. (I know its china :p).
Story telling: Now he is a a little story all about how Po's life got flipped turned upside down. (I should stop...copyrights and such) but ya Po, a adopted child to a goose? Duck? Idk. Who owns a noodle shop. This guys life was all about dem noodles. But it wasnt for Po, he loved the furious five to the point he had their actoon figures. Well do to a turn a events he becomes the "dragon warrior" who would stop a great evil. So far the story isnt all that unqiue. But this is where it gets good! So you know how Po is a panda? Well being a panda he cant be easier hurt by punches so his ulimate weapon was HIM. That doesnt seem all that speical but this is kids movie and thats a good message to send them.
Lastly it had a great line. Scadushe? I cant spell it. But you know! You heard it all of 2009, right? Come on dont lie.
Where it failed:
So remember earlier when I said it wasnt an orignal story well from this reviewers mind thats a negative, but its a kids movie so ill let that go....this time.
Montages. Who doesnt love a good montage. Well I do, but for thisovie I feel like they could have done a karate kid where he has 3 unique tasks which help him fight and we see them fully. But whatever.
Lastly if I am being nit picky it failed to make a good tv show. Does that even count!? Yes. Yes it does. Dreamworks has done thks a couple times and they never work out. Honestly! Leave them movies more !
FINAL VERDICT!
For the first kung fu panda I give it an 8.5/10. It is a cute, funny kids movie, which even adults can enjoy. I personally own both 1 and 2 and I suggest you do the same. They are good movies and rumor has it that there is third on the way.
Must on movie 10$ per movie max.

Summer movie challenge day 8

Its jurassic park. Im noy gonna be cute with this one.
I do not care for these films. In 1993 I guarantee people crapped their pants seeing those dinosaurs. But me in 2015, I couldnt careless.
Sure I enjoyed the jeff goldbulm chaos theory and wayne knight being a 90s fat guy but honestly I dont think these films transend generations.
It is a movie for its time.
Now you ask " are you gonna see jurassic world?!" Answer yes. This films are all about the CGI which looks great in a theater, not my 50 inch tv.
So I will see it but only in the theater. I feel it is the reveal of the dinosaur era. Heck! Pixar is making a dino movie. Which is cool. But these arent for me.
Final verdict: in 1993, 9.5/10 in 2015, 5.5/10 I didnt think it was all thay special. I was bored after the first encounter. And the ending seemed rushed. I recommend buying all 3 becuz its a collectors thing. As a solo movie.... just watch it if its on.

Summer movie challenge day 7

Hint: It relaunched the stars acting career. He is literally this guy in real life. He is a super hero. There are 3 movies. Have you got it yet? Okay last hint and you better get it this time! If he was in science class his name would be " Fe man."
Thats right! Im reviewing the marvel MCU's (marvel cinematic universe) one and only iron man 1,2,3.
Before we start in on the facts, lets get some opinions out of the way. While Don Cheddile did a great job as roaddy (idk home to spell it, and im not looking it up), Terrance Howard would have been more realistic to an active millitary officer. Don seemed more like a post active duty kinda guy. And he did beef up for ironman 3, it was odd looking for him.
Next opinion, um wtf on the maderian. Unless there is a bigger scheme... he was casted perfectly! So why make him " trevor, the failed actor." I understand it allowed to have guy pierces character to be the villian but I was so psyched!
Last opinion for the moment. Why no iron man 4?
To the facts: fact! This movie revived and revised the superhero genre. Granted incredible hulk and dark kinght came out at the same time, this film first said: we can be funny yet serious. U like lets say the hulk or batman and robin who just made comic book films.
Fact! Before ironman marvel was on the verge of being disolved as a movie comapny. And now they own the summer blockbuster. With failed movies like ghost rider , punisher and daredevil, Marvel wasnt doing so well. What they needed to was make every movie matter. Instead of stand alone films, they created a universe which allowed for the biggest superhero release The avengers.( over billion dollars!)
What it did well: Iron man 1) had great casting. Had excellent adaptations from the original comic. Great CGI. (Come on you thought that was a real suit.) Great comedy. Allowing tony to get his burger king american cheese burger! Giving us the end credit scene.
Iron man 2) once again great casting! Okay CGI. The suits seemed more animated this go around but still looked good.
Having his moblie suit.
Inventing a new element. ( im no scientists but can you create a new element?, if not, TONY STARK did it! " well im not tony stark..." (iron man 1 quote).
Sam jackson in the film. Scarlett johanson looking smoking hot and kicking butt!
The congress scene if congressional meetings were this back and forth, id subscirbe to C-span. And am I the only one who wanted to punch that senator? No well ( spoiler!!!!!!) He works for hydra.
Ironman 3) using the most iconic villian of ironman. Having gwenth paltrow (no idea how to spell things guys) in a sports bra and actually matter to the story.
Having a cameo from the first film. The 1990s! All those suits! (Bring on the house party!)

This is for all movies. The ironman song (black sabbath). The ACDC songs and T-shirts. The suits. Casting RDJ! Jon faveru.
Where it failed JEFF BRIDGES. Ugh. Im sorry this is opinion but I do not care for his work, honestly this is the only thing I like him in. And I didnt know it was him till after I checked after the showing.
But that aside.... um claiming you are going to have a sequel? Guys, dont count your chickens before they hatch. Just put him in the suit now, he isnt coming back anyways.
Ironman 2, picking your villian. Not the most iconic villain. Sure the story was told well enough to make us care but honestly whiplash (micky roake) is not famous to nonfans. Which unfortunately is the moviemakers job, to appeal to a new comer.
Ironman 3. Okay another opinion. I do not care for mark 42 , im sorry but that was one ugly suit. Now I dig the automatic armor but we saw that in avengers with his classic hot rod red and gold.
The plot twist. I understand why it was done but OMG that pissed alot of people off.
Not having jon faveru (happy) as director.
Not having justin hammer return. He was super funny in ironman 2. Bring him back as a consultant of A.I.M or something.
Final verdict: for this I will review each movie then as a trilogy.
Ironman, 8.5/10 A great origin story. Brought superheros into the public eye. This is a must watch and own if you are a comic fan.
Ironman 2, 8.45/10 why so many decimals? Well here is the thing it is jist as good as ironman but its all about what your feel like that day. Ironman 1 and 2 almost equal. Two unique stories follwing one great character.
Ironman 3, 8/10 idk but this movie just wasnt as good. There were more shocl value scenes in this film then anything. But over all still great!
As a trilogy (which is tech. Not) 8.5/10 it fun for everyone, even those who dont know the character. There will be laughs, excitment, and fear all in a 6hr period of awesomeness. I recommend you but all 3 for 10$ each at the most. Oh! Throw in avengers as well cuz thats literally "ironman 2.5"

Summer movie challenge day 6
Day 6
(no careful for spoilers, its a cult classic)
Today we venture into one of the most popular movies from the director who loves the N-word and being In his own films. Its involes 2 men with a gift for Gab. What is it? Why its pulp fiction.
Lets get this out of the way. If you dont know at least one! Actor from this film, then you have never seen a movie before this. And lucky you that this is your first.
To name a few, we have sam jackson, bruce willis, john travolta, uma thurman, ving rhames, phil lamar just to name a few.
1994 was quite the year wasnt it? We had, well, ummm, not alot comes to mind... but hey we got pulp fiction so I guess we can call it a win!
Sorta summary the store of Jules and Vincent two gangstas doing the bidding of wallace. They do the job but with a minor gun fire sends them into turmoil. (Thats all I got, yoy cant summerize this)
Much like StarWars this film has been parodied/ homaged too in multiple media, some even directed towards kids. Space jam pays homage by both playing the iconic opening title card song as well as reenacting the hitmans first kill.
A more modern parody would be community. In community abed wants to stop pretending his world is a movie but his friends endulge him by reenacting pulp fiction for him. His friends get him the fame "golden breifcase" which to his suprsie was filled with a light bulb. Kind of a kill joy.
Oh! Now I remembered 1994 was when O.J. simpson killed that guy and his wife. Wait why bring that up? Hhmm idk fun facts.....Back to pulp fiction.
Where it successed:
"Dont let the B!Tch O.D.!" This movie is iconic becuase of its quotes and its ....odd....scenes. Take the dance scene. Iconic! But so awkward. And who can forget the opening with sam jackson and travolta riding in the car. "Do you know what they call a 1/4 pounder in france?" A royal with cheese."
THE CREEPIEST Christopher walken speech ever. Why is this good? Well are you gonna touch that watch? Ik im not! I did like how tarantino connected at least two scenes in this movie sequentially. The introduction of the gold watch and then why it may be inportant to butch(bruce's characters).
Bruce willis killing dudes, classic bruce willis right there. Ving rhames having his face hidden was giving wallace a mysterious vibe. Other then those who knew ving, it was a mystery, the man behind the band aid.
Bondage before fifty shades. This isnt a positive but its a success becuz they didnt sexualize it as a good thing or promote it. So points.
I Like the use of a katata. Tarantino loves his japanese weapons and this is before kill bill too. Maybe he was hinting at something?
Where it fails:
The jumping of time. If this were a time travel movie this wouldnt be an issue. Since its not, it just confusing intill the end. Had it not been for the awesome banter of the hitmen, the attention was lost on the audience.
Introduction of characters. The first characters introduced are acknowledged again intill practically the end of the film. Which makes their intense dialoge forgetable.
The length. Ive got an issue with anything over 2hrs unless im on the edge of my seat the whole time. Which at points this movie did!
Rape scene....
Final verdict: Its on netflix so my recommendation is to watch it before its gone. While I did not hate this movie, I wasnt attached the whole time that is why I give it a high 7.5/10. There was just to much to remember while new characters were being introduced and it lost my attention.
I also wanted more sam jackson! The back and forth Gab was pure awesomeness. The movie needed to be just those two. Heck those two just talking for an hour would have ruled. But no we dont get that movie. Honestly, I dont know who the true star was of the film, maybe no one.
Final point, once it leaves netflix I suggest you buy it for 5-10$ its not so great you should fork out 20$ but it is a must own movie in your collection.
